Set hours, minutes and seconds (or tap a preset), then press Start. The remaining time is tracked against a fixed deadline, so it stays exact even when the tab is briefly in the background. When time is up, the display flashes and a short alarm plays; the page title also changes so you notice it from another tab.

Will the alarm sound if the tab is in the background?
Yes, in most browsers: the remaining time is computed from the target timestamp, and the alarm plays when the deadline passes — even if the display was throttled while hidden. Keep the tab open; a closed tab cannot ring.
Why does the sound only work after I press Start?
Browsers only allow audio after you have interacted with the page. Pressing Start counts as that interaction, which is what enables the alarm.
What is the 25-minute preset for?
It matches the popular Pomodoro technique: 25 minutes of focused work followed by a short break. Combine it with the stopwatch to track your total focused time per day.
