Why can I choose a time zone for the target?
A “new year in Tokyo” happens at a different instant than “new year in New York”. Fixing the target to a zone makes the countdown identical for every viewer, wherever they are.
What happens when the target time passes?
The timer switches to counting up, showing how much time has passed since the target — handy for “days since launch” style counters.
Can I share a countdown?
Yes. The share button creates a link containing the target date, time, zone and title, so anyone opening it sees the same countdown.
